Time for Relaxation and Reflection
I came across this ‘gem of wisdom’ penned by Leonardo Da Vinci and thought what a great bit of advice for all of us who just refuse to take time away for some reflection and relaxation.
Every now and then go away,
have a little relaxation, for when you come back…
to your work your judgement will be surer;
since to remain constantly at work will cause you to lose power of judgement……
Go some distance away because the work appears smaller
and more of it can be taken in at a glance,
and a lack of harmony or proportion
is more readily seen.
So the lesson: take time to step away, find a quiet place for reflection and meditation and come back to your work feeling refreshed and with a new perspective.
